Wales, Ynes Môn (Anglesey) and YNES ENlLI (Bardsey Island)

Drenched in myths of Merlins, Dragons, the Lady of the Lake and King Arthur, stepping into the land of Wales feels like stepping into a fairy tale.

This is the land of the Druids and the Celts. The island of Anglesey (Ynes Môn) was the Druids last stronghold before they were finally driven from the shores of Albion by the Romans. The land is imbued with their presence and vast wisdom that was transmitted through an oral tradition. You feel them here still as guardians in the oak tree groves and the rocks and megalithic sites such as Bryn Celli Ddu.

On Ynes Llanddwyn, the Welsh patron saint of lovers lived as a hermit. In medieval times her shrine was visited by pilgrims all over the Christian world and today, if you’re lucky, you’ll spot wild horses and seals, though you need to flow with the tides to gain access to this little enclave.

Bardsey Island (Ynes Enlli) is where merlin is believed to be buried and is one of the places in the British Isles where the energy of Avalon remains today.
